Loop, who is the first-ever kicker drafted by the Ravens, is now the only kicker signed to the team for the 2025 season.

Tucker was released by the Ravens nearly four months after he was accused of sexual misconduct. In a report by the Baltimore Banner in January, six women accused Tucker of sexual misconduct at eight different spas in the Baltimore area between 2012-16. Since the initial report, a total of 16 women have accused Tucker of sexual misconduct.

While Tucker has publicly denied the allegations multiple times and called the accusations the NFL is investigating the situation.

Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said in a statement: 鈥淪ometimes football decisions are incredibly difficult, and this is one of those instances. Considering our current roster, we have made the tough decision to release Justin Tucker.鈥�

After Baltimore鈥檚 rookie minicamp on Sunday, Ravens head coach Jim Harbaugh said the decision to release Tucker wasn鈥檛 connected to the investigation.

鈥淚 would just say from the standpoint of the investigation and all that, we don鈥檛 know anything,鈥� Harbaugh said. 鈥淲e haven鈥檛 been given any information, as it should be. It鈥檚 all done the way it鈥檚 done. So, we don鈥檛 know anything along those lines, so you can鈥檛 make any decisions based on that.

鈥淓very decision we make has to be based on football. There鈥檚 a lot of layers to that. You鈥檝e got a rookie kicker in here. We took him in the sixth round, early in the sixth round. He鈥檚 a talented guy. Just from a football standpoint, salary cap, all the different things that you just take into consideration 鈥� whatever we decide to do over the next few weeks would be based on football.鈥�

Tucker, who is currently the most accurate kicker in NFL history with an 89.1% field-goal rate, ended his Baltimore career as a seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro selection. He had a career-low 73.3% (22 of 30) rate on field goals in 2024.

Loop, who became the first Arizona kicker drafted since Nick Folk in 2007, just concluded rookie minicamp with the Ravens.

In five years at Arizona, the Lucas, Texas, native recorded an 83.8% field-goal rate, which currently ranks 39th in college football history; it鈥檚 also the best mark in Arizona history. Loop鈥檚 327 points are third in school history behind Max Zendejas (360) and Art Luppino (337).

Loop was 6 for 9 in field goals of at least 50 yards in 2024, which included a program-record 62-yard field goal. Loop owns the UA single-game school record with five field goals against Texas Tech. He also made all three of his field goals and extra points in Arizona鈥檚 win over Oklahoma in the 2023 Alamo Bowl.

In his last two seasons at Arizona, Loop had 126 touchbacks in 140 attempts (90%).

Former Arizona special teams coordinator Danny Gonzales said Loop has 鈥渢he most powerful leg I鈥檝e ever been around,鈥� and he 鈥渉as the ability to punt, kick, (kick) field goals.鈥�

鈥淗e鈥檚 a phenomenal young man,鈥� Gonzales said after Arizona鈥檚 spring showcase last week. 鈥淔aith is the No. 1 thing in his life, which is outstanding. He lives it every single day. He was good for this football team and he鈥檒l be a great representation for this university, and he鈥檚 going to make someone鈥檚 football team better. He hit a 62-yard field goal here and we were willing to let him go back to 70 (yards) if we had the opportunity, because he would routinely hit them in practice. It sounds silly, but he would routinely hit them in practice.鈥�

Loop was among the top kickers at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. In the kicking competition, He made 13 of 14 field goals (93.3%) and tied Florida State鈥檚 Ryan Fitzgerald for the second-best field-goal rate; both made 60-yard field goals to end the competition.

Loop connected with Ravens special teams coach Randy Brown, who鈥檚 been with the organization for nearly two decades, and 鈥済ot to chat with him for a little bit about my time at Arizona, and started building that relationship,鈥� Loop said on ESPN Tucson鈥檚 鈥淪pears & Ali.鈥�

鈥淎fter Pro Day, teams are able to do private workouts with players and stuff like that (and) he messaged me and said, 鈥楬ey, I want to do a private workout with you,鈥欌�� Loop said. 鈥淲e talked about kicking mechanics and my time at Arizona and where we think I can improve and where we can continue to build upon and have success in Baltimore, stuff like that. A lot of phone calls and back-and-forth texting about what I鈥檓 working on. He would give me feedback and say, 鈥楾his is what I want to see. See if you can do this.鈥�

Added Loop: 鈥淲e had a pretty good feeling from my side that the Ravens might be looking to draft a kicker because of the conversations and how that went. It鈥檚 cool. Randy is an awesome dude. Tons of experience and has been around some awesome kickers with the Ravens.鈥�

Loop, who was one of four Wildcats selected in the NFL Draft, said being with the Ravens 鈥渁nd representing that organization is super exciting for me.鈥�
